The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is preparing to host the Kingdom Cycling Championship 2025,The event is organized by the Jordan Cycling Federation and is listed on the official calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a recognised national race. This championship is a key fixture in the annual sports calendar, helping to elevate Jordan’s presence in the regional and international cycling scene. It also offers a valuable opportunity to assess and develop local talent.

Technical Support During the Races

The organizing committee will provide full technical support during all road races, with neutral support vehicles accompanying riders to ensure safety and quick response to any mechanical issues or emergencies. Teams wishing to register their own support cars will be able to do so through an online form that will be announced soon by the organizing committee, in coordination with the race jury.

Awards and Honors

The championship will award medals to the top three finishers in each recognized category, in addition to official championship trophies presented to the national champions. Each category winner will also receive the official Kingdom Champion Jersey, symbolizing sporting excellence and achievement. Additional cash prizes will be announced later to further encourage participation and outstanding performance.

Route Details

The championship includes road races and an Individual Time Trial (ITT). Routes have been carefully selected to combine technical challenges with the natural beauty of the eastern areas of Amman.

  • The first road race covers a distance of 86 km and is designated for the Men’s Elite and U23 categories. It follows fast roads with moderate climbs and descents, requiring strong endurance and tactical awareness.

  • The second race, at 63 km, is designed for the Women, Juniors, and Youth categories, offering a slightly shorter but still technically engaging route.

  • The Individual Time Trial (ITT) will be held on the second day. Elite and U23 riders will compete over 31 km, while other categories will race a single 22.2 km.

Google Maps links and downloadable GPX files for all routes are available to help riders prepare both tactically and physically ahead of the race.

Fees are 20 JOD for road races and 10 JOD for the time trial.

All participants must arrive at the starting point at least one hour before race time to check in and sign the attendance sheet. Sign-in will close 15 minutes before each start. A valid Jordanian national ID is required at registration, and no one will be allowed to participate without it.

Rules and Regulations

The Kingdom Championship will be conducted in accordance with UCI and Jordan Cycling Federation regulations, with strict enforcement of safety and organizational standards. Non-road bicycles are not permitted, and wearing helmets is mandatory for all participants.

 

Food and drink provisioning is not allowed during the first and last 15 km of any race. Designated feed zones will be available for the Elite and U23 categories only.

In the Time Trial, aero bars are permitted, but drafting or benefiting from another rider’s slipstream is strictly prohibited. Support vehicles must follow caravan rules precisely, moving in a safe and coordinated manner under the supervision of race officials to ensure fairness and safety for all riders.
