As part of the project to prepare the race convoy in accordance with the regulations of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), implemented by the Jordan Cycling Federation, an important lecture was held on December 21, 2024, in the Princess Sumaya Hall. The lecture reviewed UCI instructions related to organizing the race convoy, providing support during the race, and ensuring safety through support cars and bicycles.
During the lecture, all technical and administrative aspects of organizing the convoy in an orderly and safe manner were explained. The session also covered how to provide necessary support to riders during the race through accompanying cars and support bicycles. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the importance of collaboration among all concerned parties to ensure the race proceeds efficiently, including traffic management, medical support, and technical assistance.
The lecture was attended by several retired cyclists who expressed great interest in the topic. It was delivered by former Jordan Cycling Federation riders, Mr. Yousef Bousheh and Mr. Suhaib Al-Abadi, who provided a detailed and comprehensive explanation of how to implement these instructions in races.
Participants unanimously agreed on the importance of these instructions to ensure the safety of riders and achieve the highest level of organization in future races. Through these lectures, the Jordan Cycling Federation aims to raise awareness among those involved in cycling races and enhance the capabilities of technical and administrative teams to address various challenges they may face during race organization.
