Elections for the General Assembly for Retired Players and Jordanian Clubs Categories
The elections of associations within the Jordan Cycling Federation were completed with the selection of active clubs in the General Assembly during the elections held last Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan Hall. The event was attended by Ms. Mai Al-Nusour, Director of Federations at the Jordan Olympic Committee, along with representatives of the committee. The elections saw active participation from 12 clubs out of the 14 eligible to vote. The results of the elections led to the following clubs being elected as active members:
• Al-Ahli Club
• Al-Hurriya Club
• Shabab Al-Na'ima Club
• Tareef Club
• Ittihad Shabab Al-Nozha Club
• Ma'an Club
The Retired Players Association had earlier selected its active representatives for the Federation’s General Assembly during a meeting held on December 12, 2024. This meeting was attended by 9 retired players out of the 14 eligible to participate in the elections. The election results were as follows:
• Ms. Doaa Marzouq
• Mr. Nidal Al-Maloukh
• Mr. Malik Al-Mutlaq
• Mr. Ibrahim Ababneh
• Mr. Ammar Al-Satri
These outcomes pave the way for the election of a new Board of Directors for the Jordan Cycling Federation, tasked with advancing cycling in Jordan and elevating it to international standards.
The Jordan Cycling Federation emphasizes the vital role of the elected members in promoting and supporting cycling in the Kingdom. This includes actively participating in developing technical standards and competing in local and international championships. The Federation also commends the commitment of the clubs to advancing the sport, contributing effectively to talent discovery and development, and working collectively and continuously toward achieving further accomplishments in Jordanian cycling.
